Key facts

Durability

Editorial justifications
The Sony Xperia 1 VII is a full metal and glass phone, with Corning’s tough Gorilla Glass Victus 2 up front, and aluminum sides. · Its rear panel is 'just' Victus rather than its successor, which has better drop resistance, but this still provides a respectable amount of protection. · Eventually the paint will wear off the sharp corners of the frame, showing up as bright, raw aluminum highlights. · The Xperia 1 VII is rated for IP65 and IP68, for protection from immersion in fresh water and being subjected to jets of the stuff. techradar.com · Oct 14, 2026techradar.com · Oct 14, 2026techradar.com · Oct 14, 2026techradar.com · Oct 14, 2026
